ERC-8004 AI Agents on Base

Live Intelligence on every ERC-8004 agent on Base: Readiness & Trust scores, x402 payment support, MCP tool inventories, and on-chain reputation for the full indexed set. New registrations and reputation updates every 15 minutes; endpoint checks daily.

Distinct agents we profile = ERC-8004 registrations on this chain after we remove duplicate, bulk and placeholder ones (no publisher counts for more than 50). Live = endpoint answers HTTP 2xx AND advertises at least one machine-readable capability surface (MCP tools, OpenAPI schema, or well-known agent card).

Our take on Base

Base holds the largest real, working ERC-8004 population and is where actual agent commerce is happening. Only about 6% of Base registrations (1,408 live of 23,705 distinct agents we profile) answer live probes with a machine-readable manifest — a long tail of quiet or one-shot registrations is real — but the live cohort is where Virtuals ACP jobs, ERC-8183 job outcomes, and ReputationRegistry endorsements land. We've indexed 674,869 ReputationRegistry feedback events across 153,098 Base agents, of which 51 are backed by identifiable agent-commerce transactions (Virtuals ACP / ERC-8183 job flows), not bot noise.

Liveness composition on Base

What the live cohort actually exposes. An agent can advertise more than one surface.

Real activity vs raw activity

Two ways to count real use: a wide count of any inbound transfer, and a stricter count tied to paid jobs.

Commerce-backed agents
153,098

674,869
Feedback events

Commerce-backed counts only agents whose feedback trail ties to a real agent-commerce transaction (Virtuals ACP job or ERC-8183 job outcome) — filters out bulk placeholder feedback. Owner wallet has received funds is a wider net (any inbound USDC/ETH/native) — use it as ceiling, not proof of real activity.

Readiness distribution

Stamped-readiness buckets for Base agents we've enriched (15,128 of 23,705 distinct agents we profile). Buyer-POV composite — liveness × payment × reputation × identity signals.

What we can and can't show: registration counts above are summed from our per-day discovery archive, which starts 2026-03-12 (labelled reconstructed in our time series). Liveness tracking starts 2026-07-17 — we've been snapshotting the live-rate / composition / reputation numbers daily since then — 112 observed days on record. Trend lines across that window are visible to Pro subscribers; the public hub reports today's cross-section so the headline numbers can't drift silently.

This chain intelligence brief is published by Onchain Agent Intel (onchainagentintel.io), which scores ERC-8004 agents on Ethereum and Base. Registry listings are self-reported. The signals shown here come from public on-chain activity and, where it exists, payment history tied to paid jobs. The full weighted breakdown is returned by the paid /v1/intel endpoint.
